A prayer request….

We recently met a new friend, who is an older man and his mother country is overseas, although he is now a citizen of our country. Just before all the lockdowns occured, he got married to a lady, also from his mother country. Right after they married, she flew back to her country, expecting to come back. Well, it didn’t happen. They were married less than a week when she had to go back. So they have been apart 8 months. He has now got all the paperwork done through lawyers and the papers are in the government’s hands over there.  She can come, because of  the nature of her job and he can sponsor her, but due to all the government being shut down, nothing has happened.  They are lonely for one another and I thought if we could all say an extra prayer for them, maybe things could work out for them sooner, rather than later.

Yes, let us pray for them.  If they have the resources, can they meet in a third country?

Yes, he has the resources and he is planning a surprise meeting for her in a third country. He showed us photos of the cutest little beach house that he had rented.

It has been a longstanding thing that once you are married those issues go away.

Praying that they will be re-united soon.  And that he and his wife will know that God made it happen in response to Christians’ prayers on their behalf.

Do you know if they are believers?  If not, this could be a great time to introduce them to our Lord and Savior.    I’m praying for that too.

I don’t think they are believers. So that’s also a wonderful thing to pray for. He is a business man so he will be back eventually and wants to bring his wife over. He lives a couple days drive from here. He did say that our kindness was outstanding to him, so he must have felt something.

As you know, God works in mysterious ways ….  and He is pleased when we ask Him to intercede in someone’s life to glorify Him…

The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.   John 3:8

Lord may you be glorified, for nothing is impossible for You.  I pray that you will intercede in their lives and bring them to You.
