Anyone Tried Julva?

I learned about Julva over on Awaken Love.

Julva is a topical DHEA cream for the vulva. It is supposed to help with menopausal issues like dryness, itching, and burning and thinning of the vulva. This makes sex less painful, easier, and more enjoyable. Given what I know about DHEA, and the fact I trust Ruth, I’d say it’s worth a shot for women suffering with those problems. Amazon has a 7 day trial sample.

I’d love feedback from anyone who has used it or tries it.

Better to get her blood hormone levels checked and fix that if it’s off.

As with a lot of hormonal things, the problem with this is not having years of data to look at. Overall DHEA levels go down with age, but one woman’s normal at 70 could be higher than another woman’s normal at 25.

Studies are ongoing. From what I’ve seen oral uses of DHEA has not been shown to be useful. but topical application has.  Topical also reduces the chances of side effects in the body as a whole.

I’d certainly suggest discussing it with one’s doctor.

      True.

If the topical application is designed to go into the bloodstream, then I agree 100%.

I think Chris Taylor at The Forgiven Wife has some familiarity with DHEA. I saw it in a comment from her a some point a few months ago. A quick search on her blog for DHEA doesn’t pull up the comment, but it did pull up this article:

Maybe asking her would be helpful?

My wife uses it every night that sex looks likely.  It hasn’t turned her into a raging sex queen like I hoped, lol, but it seems to help with the perimenopause sympoms that you mentioned.

How do you know if it would be helpful? If you took it and didn’t need it, would it cause issues?

I just now placed an order. I have been miserable for 7 months with all the symptoms this is supposed to help relieve. If it works (or even if it doesn’t), I’ll share the results. Having spent a small fortune on product after product, I suppose I can spend $70+ on 4 oz of this…if I say it really quickly. Lol

…correction. $74.15 got me not four ounces, but rather, one ounce of Julva. 😳 I have used two very sparing applications so far so we will see. I have a chronic insane itching, breaks in the skin, and dryness that came about after an antibiotic wrecked my system back in March. I also had a vaginal opening tear on the perineum side during that time. Five doses of Diflucan and a small fortune in creams, potions, medicines, you name it, Ive been in misery all these months. I can get healed up for 2-3 days and think I’m over it, then it comes back with a vengeance. Toilet paper, pads, panty shields all irritate now. I can’t stand lingering wetness or urine residue there. The whole area got fragile. So i pray it works.

Ouch! I hope you get a lot of benefit from it for that price!
