To add a moment of levity to the valid concerns about coronavirus and quarantines I wish us to ponder the possibility that in December there will a surge in births due to people being in quarantine.
A story on the fact or fiction of baby booms after storms: https://www.google.com/amp/s/abcnews.go.com/amp/Health/blizzard-baby-booms-fact-fiction/story%3fid=28496290
Last night I jokingly suggested to my wife that maybe we needed to say we’d been exposed to it and have 14 days in home quarantine—after sending the kids to stay with relatives to keep them from being exposed. Fourteen days home alone together… I can only imagine the fun times we could have together!😏
Is it bad that I’m kind of happy to have pretty much everything in our life cancelled for two weeks? We always talk about life growing more and more stressful; an enforced break for (almost) everyone seems like a pretty good first step to helping people find a re-set button. (It doesn’t help those who are directly involved in meeting the crisis, like health care workers and decision makers, but a large portion of the population is getting a much-appreciated time-out.
My family is home for the next two weeks… but the last week was pretty stressful on us. We’re still in rest mode. I have no doubt that Dh and I will soon be in Coronababy mode.
It’s going to be a great time for us to recharge as a family, too. Just trying to make lemonade out of these lemons.
We’d talked about this. Unfortunately, I don’t know too many people to razz about this because of the demographic I’m in now. For instance, our church small group is four families, two of which are sterile (vasectomies) and the other two which were already expecting.
What I’d be curious to know is if sex toys are seeing a spike in sales right now. We’re planning on ordering something new (after some discussion, of which I intend to describe here, but haven’t had the time), so I hope it’s not back ordered or anything! I wonder if we could confirm with Married Dance or someplace similar if they’re seeing a spike in orders? I haven’t seen any place advertising that yet, but it may still happen!
