Couples messaging app recommendation

    Hello,

For the last few years my wife and I have been using the Couple App to send private messages and photos back and forth.

We use the IOS and Android OS’s.  This app worked pretty well for us.

About a month ago we noticed the notifications stopped working on the IOS system.  We could not figure it out so we uninstalled it and now cannot find it to reinstall it.

What private messaging, texting app do you use on your phones, tablets, iphones, ipads, etc?

    Thanks for the help.

I didn’t even know that there was a special app for couples 🙂 Why don’t you use any other app like Whatsapp? How was the couples app different?

for reasons of maintaining privacy for what we send to each other and keeping that from prying eyes (we still have kids at home), we prefer apps like Between or Couple

      To add to Georges answer….

      1. Couple would only connect to one other person, so there was no chance of sending that racy or VERY personal message/photo to the wrong person

      2. It was passcode protected so even if I allowed another person to use my phone (highly improbable), they would not be able to access those messages/photos

      3. It really helped at times we were apart geographically and we still had the urge. Some call it mutual masturbation, but it was shared only between to two of us.

Try the Signal app. It’s an encrypted messaging service so only you and your spouse can read the messages. You can also get it on your desktop if you want to be able to send messages from your computer.

I agree with what has been said above that “Signal” is your best option for end to end encryption.
But if you want an app that requires a password to open the app, my wife and I have used one called “Desire” in the past with good success.

DW and I currently use signal app. It’s end to end encryption for text, pics, and even live video calls has given us the opportunity to stay connected sexually during the day and when we are away from each other on trips. She is reluctant to show her face for fear of hackers but that is not my fear. We have enjoyed it for years and used it earlier Today in fact!

Thanks for all your help. We have installed Signal and it seems to be working well.

It is encrypted and you CAN set a pin so the app can only be opened with your fingerprint or a 4 digit code.

TheBen, the reason we use a special app is for 3 reasons.

              • It is password protected
              • No one can “accidentally” open the app
              • There is no chance that you text a “flirty” message to another recipient
                • BTW, This happened to me.  We were on vacation and I sent the text “You look hot!” to another guy with a name close to my DW’s name.  He laughed but it was very embarrassing.

At this point I would recommend Signal

we used to use Couple, but ran into the same issue, where it wasn’t working anymore on iOS. We use Between now, which we like a lot. If you set it up right, you can still maintain a lot of privacy and intimacy with messaging and any photos you might exchange.

Interesting. Couples is what we have, but we haven’t used it for a while so we haven’t noticed any problems. But, I went looking in the Playstore, to see if it was there, and I couldn’t find it either.

We’ve used Couple for quite some time too and are having the same notification issues. We’ve installed Signal but haven’t tested it enough to feel confident with personal messages yet.

We have tried twine and between, but Couple was the best while it lasted. Best feature was a password access on the app itself and no messages coming directly through on notifications. We like our phones to be available to the kids, but not our flirty chats. Following…

We have used Couples but the last time I tried the messages did not send.

I don’t think it’s being supported anymore by the company that made it. That’s why we stopped using it.

Well, over a month and a half later I still have not received a reply. I guess they’re out of the business.
