As SC stated, anytime you receive anything from a user on TMB (whether via PM or email) that you are uncomfortable with or feels “creepy”, please refer the matter to me, especially if you have asked them to stop and they persist.

You can PM me or send an email to tmbboardczar@gmail.com.  I can check messages on my phone and computer, so I will usually get back to you fairly quickly and will work to resolve the matter.

      Thanks!!

I am very glad you posted this question publicly, so that ALL can be aware! Not everyone on here is who they portray themselves to be.  If someone seems too good to be true in their posts, they just may be.

Kudos to you for not letting fear of offense, keep you quiet!

Let Dale know. You can PM him.

          Who’s Dale?

          on September 6, 2019.

Dale is the “board czar”. He is the one who oversees the boards and is in charge. If you PM him, all you have to do is type in “Dale”.

Thanks! Sent him a PM and he’s keeping an eye on the user.

I forwarded it to the admin address.

And, as SeekingChange explained, the proper thing to do is to PM Dale about it. He responded within a couple of hours.

I would suggest that you report ANYTHING that makes you uncomfortable.

You also might be able to “report” a PM. Look around for that option.

For some reason, the PM went to email rather than staying in the board mailbox. I didn’t make the mistake of replying to it.

If you go to a users profile, the only option of contacting them you see is “Contact via Email”.  Which takes everything off the boards and into the private arena.

I doubt that the creepy person wants to stay on the PM system.

Sorry I’m on my phone so I can’t go back and “edit to add”. I looked in my PMs and didn’t see a “report” button in my quick look, but I saw the option to “block”. Block the person so you don’t recieve anymore.

                  Again, let Dale know.

Were these messages via email or through the PM system? If it’s via messaging via email, if you reply back, your email address is seen. So if it’s identifying in any way…well, just be careful.

I have gotten some odd private messages via email, and I came to the PM system to reply back. Of course I never heard anything back, which seemed like confirmation to my discernment and their motive.

The message I got was in email, not in PM. I copied the full text to Dale and didn’t reply to the email. I was going to, but caught myself in time.

I am glad you caught yourself and played it safe!

I’m glad this came up. I have received e-mail for the first and second times just recently.  I really do feel like they are both sincere and above-board, but it hadn’t actually occurred to me that they wouldn’t be until I read this.
