My wife and I are going to be putting in an online order of some sex toys and she is interested in getting a dildo or two as part of the order. So far she only uses her magic wand. I am sure that dildos come in different textures and she is interested in one that doesn’t just feel like rubber – basically one that gives a realistic feel. Any recommendations? We don’t have any dildos for her…yet!
I think silicone ones feel more realistic than plastic ones, and definitely more than glass. I don’t know that you will find one that actually feels real, because skin is skin, and silicone, plastic, rubber, glass, etc, etc is not. The silicone toys we have, are more flexible and has more give, more like a penis, then the other toys we have.
Flexible means there’s more give…think like a rubber ball with air versus a baseball. Put them behind your back and a solid force (a wall or a floor)…and pay attention to how it feels. The rubber ball will give and be more comfortable. A penis, though hard and erect, will bend and be flexible. When the cervix or the vaginal wall is hit, if the probe is flexible there is give in both the female and with the penis/dildo. If it’s solid and rigid, the female takes the full, and often painful or uncomfortable, impact.
I personally do not care for vibrations internally. I often can’t even feel it. The only thing it does for me is numb me.
Agree with SeekingChange. Many women just like something intended for internal use but not necessarily a realistic dildo. Are you looking for realistic looking as well as realistic feeling? should it be flexible? Do you want one that vibrates too? What size and shape are you looking for? These questions will likely help you narrow down your choices. And yes, silicone ones are much, much better IMHO!
I can tell you what I like but that isn’t to helpful I would guess.
I have both silicone, hard plastic, and glass. The glass for me is my least favorite, it provides some opportunity for temperature sensation (hot or cold) but other than that the hardness level is usually uncomfortable. Silicone that is squishy is traditionally the most comfortable for me (however that material seems to suck up lube or maybe its just less slippery even when lubed up so we use a lot more lube with that kind). We also have a hard plastic vibrator (it was a cheap freebie that came with another order we placed) that has an egg shape at the end, and its by far my favorite, something about the egg shape hits all the right spots for me. We don’t really use the vibrating function on it, its the shape that I enjoy. So I would look at different shapes as well as different textures.
So glad I asked this question. I’ll definitely purchase a silicone one for her. Can I ask what everyone means by being flexible? Are dildos that vibrate, in general, more popular? I would have guessed that vibration is always better with dildos, but maybe not.
