Evil Stubble!

Beloved,

I have been manscaping my pubic hair for months now and even if I do my best to shave with a razor to get as clean and close as possible, my wife will tell me that she can still feel stubble.

I even “bit the bullet” a few times and shaved against the grain (I’ll never do that again) and she still felt it!

I’m at a loss of ideas on what to do to make the experience smooth for her.  Your suggestions and ideas are needed and greatly appreciated.

At this point, I’m ready to wear boxers, keep them on, and have sex that way!

Addendum:

The reason I shave is that she stated that my pubic hairs were too coarse. Now after I shave them, she comments about the stubble. Sigh.

Use a microscreen shaver and mark the days you have sex to shave it that day. Apply a tiny bit of coconut oil to the area. Her sensitivity to the area is going to happen but if so the oil will help. Take the skin area next to yer shaft and gather it up by pinching it and use microscreen shaver to really shave it close. Dont do daily shaving as the area will be too sensitive to bacteria and cause acne-sort-of bumps.

The only thing I can think of is waxing.

Aside from the fact that I prefer the aesthetic of hair on dh there isn’t really a way around stubble as hair grows back and it does chafe. That’s one of the main reason neither dh or I shave (he likes the hair too).  I just trim and he’s “au naturel.”

Do you use a top of the line, five blade razor with shaving cream in the shower? When I manscaped before, I had to do it in the shower, keep on top of it every day or two and shave with GREAT razors.

      Good point.

DH’s pubic hair isn’t overly coarse and doesn’t bother me, but his (sometimes) 5 o’clock shadow/short beard is like needles! He uses beard oil and that helps a lot, but you probably don’t want to use that down there. Maybe a super hydrating conditioner? The suggestions others have made regarding shaving daily with a quality razor sounds good, but a bit tedious.

My DH shaves in the shower with a five blade razor and lots of soap. I’ve never detected stubble!

The additional piece of info –  about your hair being course is likely helpful. It would seem to me your stubble is probably courser than other stubble as a result.  It seems to me that in your case, some length is better than trying to keep yours shaved. Also, using a good conditioner or some oil on our pubic hair might make it softer for your DW.

Of course some like it shaved or waxed. But from all the threads I’ve read on this, the hassle isn’t worth it for me-  both the upkeep and the likelihood of complications from either shaving or waxing. Like Tents, we are natural here – DW does trim some.

I shave in the shower after the hot water has opened up the pores. I use regular shaving cream and a regular disposable razor. About every two or three days…but the key is really hot water in the shower for me.

Waxing? Trim short rather than shave?

Are you doing this for her or yourself? If she doesn’t prefer it, is there a reason you continue to do it?

I am just interested in the dynamic you two have.

Is she complaining or is she just commenting, on either or both? Sharing an observation doesn’t mean a complaint or even a request for a change.

Commenting I guess…it’s not like she was “railing” about the issue.

I had the same experience coupled with razor bumps. Didn’t want to wax so I settled for keeping it trimmed short. She prefers it that way and it’s a lot less upkeep. My pubic hair isn’t overly coarse though. Should you choose to trim short I’m wondering if there is a product available to soften the hair that remains?

I read that conditioner can soften the hairs.

I shave mine in the shower and do so each day to ensure it stays smooth for my wife.  I have used a product called coochy from pure romance that my wife actually uses and I have never had any bumps or razor burn….I am sure regular shaving creme would also work..

I like to use an electric body hair trimmer with the closest short guard. Feels almost like shaven, but hair is just long enough to not feel like stubble.
