I had no idea where this topic fit so i chose this (care of body part, i guess)
My PT rx’d Kegels for me as a part of strengthening my core. I’m in rehab for my entire right leg and all of it’s issues …i could use some prayer for it because it most DEFINITELY hinders what H and i do sexually and it HURTS! So i hope this round of PT works (changed PT’s in hopes that i can get healing)
Question for TMB family: Do you do Kegels daily and what is your “routine” and how long have you done them and how fast did you see progress/results?
I do them whenever I think of them, so somewhat sporadically, but usually at some point each day. I often hear recommended to do them at every red light, but I didn’t do enough driving for that to work for me. I would often find myself doing a few each time I went to the bathroom. Or see them mentioned somewhere! 😉
The guide I learned and go by is that if you can stop your urine mid-stream, then you have strong PC muscles. (It’s fun to see how many times you can start and stop before you are done, but then I also use funny accents when I’m talking to myself, so maybe that’s just me.)
Thanks for the video Elevation. I didn’t know of all the variations. I do “conditioning” kegels while sitting at my desk. Five sets of ten each, holding for 7 to 10 seconds. I usually do this about 5 times a day and have for years. I will definitely be adding the “butterfly bridge” exercise to my routine. Looks like it would do a lot!
