Prayers needed for wayward teenager

We are asking for prayers for our teenager who is preparing to make some dreadful mistakes. Our child is not a Christian yet, and says this is their life to live. Please pray with us and for us,  as we do have children at home yet as well. We are sick at heart. Thanks in advance.

We just now prayed for you, specifically that your teen would be brought closer to full relationship with Christ and that it might be God’s will to accomplish that result while sparing you and your teen whatever it is you fear. Much can be borne for the sake of a child’s salvation but so much the better if that child is willing to learn the ‘easy’ way! Praying God will soften his/her heart to the Holy Spirit and open his/her eyes and ears to the truth.

May our Great God corner your child and win them unto Himself. Jesus Christ came to this sin sick world because of us all. To deliver us and get us ready for an amazing life with him. Be sure our God will save them.

Take heart in our sovereign God, His love and grace for you and your child, Rom. 8:28-29.  I pray for you and yours.

Thanks for all the prayers! Can definitely feel them, in that I am able to relax about it all. Things did take a small different turn for the better last night. But victory is not yet won amd things could very easily go the wrong way yet. Its difficult for some teens to listen to the voice of reason and experience amd we as parents, wish we could somehow talk sense into them! But all one can do at times is pray.

This is so hard. My oldest (17) is going down some paths I wish he wouldn’t too. He told me one time that he doesn’t like that mom and I are always so disappointed in him. That caught me off guard. I told him it would be hard to explain until he has kids some day, but I’m not disappointed IN him, I’m disappointed FOR him when he makes bad decisions. I explained that I know he has to make his own decisions, that some times those decisions will go against my Hope’s for him, and that he will break my heart with some decisions, but that he is my son and I love him and will always be there for him.
We have to pray, and I’ll certainly lend mine for you, but sometimes we have to acknowledge that their desire to live their life is their right.

We can feel with you and will pray for you as well. Our teen feels very capable of making their own decisions, when really they aren’t able to make big ones on their own, nor can they see/understand the law of reaping and sowing, when they seem sort of blinded.

Yeah, we keep saying they can’t see beyond the end of their noses. They only see the “right now” and not the future consequences. I do feel your pain and grief. It’s just not easy having teenagers.

                        Praying for you!

Just to encourage you, one time I spent part of a day praying and fasting for my dad who was living in sin, and right around that time (maybe the same day) he had an experience that made him want to repent & surrender his life to Jesus! It was one of the most amazing answers to prayer I’ve ever seen.
