QOTD – 7/31/20 – Question of the Day

My wife made the comment this morning, “There are two things I know you like:  junk food and sex”. (I’m thinking, “And if you combined them, I’d be in heaven!”)

What would your spouse say are the top two things you like/enjoy?  (Doesn’t have to be sex. Activity? Hobby? Food?  Etc.) Do you agree?

(Edited to clarify the question that it’s what your spouse would acknowledge about you)

What is a QTOD? 😛

on July 31, 2020.

A “QT (cutie) Over Dose”?????  He must have been really busy last night and/or this morning…. got his brain all fogged up!  😉

on July 31, 2020.

That’s a pretty good one I wouldn’t have come up with.

I think it’s well established that @NWNL’s really busy most nights!

on July 31, 2020.

Both of you. ROTFL!!!  My wife has been complaining about her hips again…but in all fairness, she was gone a couple nights to her parents. 😀

on July 31, 2020.

And yes, she is a “QT”.  And since she’s in college right now, I like to call her my young, hot, college co-ed trophy wife…but in her 40’s she doesn’t believe me.  😀

If I asked ( after many years of marriage) I know he would say a hard day if skiing followed by a glass of wine in our undies !

    Food and quiet.

I would guess my husband would say Chick-fil-a and back rubs.

And he would totally be right too! I would fit well with the scene of lounging around and being fanned and fed grapes. LOL 😆

DW would probably say the two things I enjoy most are sex and sex 😂 Or sex and work. I’m the sole income source for our family and COVID has led to a recent cut to my extra income (basically an “overtime” position I’ve had for a decade). Trying to figure out how to make up for the loss in income has been challenging, and losing a big piece of the work that I enjoy is tough to take as well.

So I don’t believe this deserves its own post, so I thought I’d throw it into the QOTD thread…

07/31 is National Orgasm Day! I think we know how we should celebrate tonight…particularly since it’s one of my two favorite things apparently!

Sounds good to me…and yes, I believe it could use its own post. 😀

        on July 31, 2020.

I think that’s a holiday worth celebrating over the course of several days! 😀

Time with DW (which includes sex!) and time with family and friends.

My wife was correct. I am a foodie: I like  fast food, junk food. 😂😂😂  If it’s bad for me, I’ll probably like it in copious amounts. Sadly, weightwatchers is happening in this house because the gym is closed, sports officiating isn’t happening, and I’d gained the infamous Covid 19 (like the Freshman 15 only worse) 😳 and DW wants me to live a longer life. 😃  and yes, my name is newwifenewlife and I enjoy copious amounts of sex with my wife. 😂

For my wife, I’d say she likes a good glass of wine with friends and being outdoors & flowers.

My wife says that’s wrong, that’s not the definition of foodie. I said, I’ll fight you.

What’s the definition of a foodie?

            on July 31, 2020.

My off the top of my head definition is someone who likes refined or gourmet food. Not your first thought when it comes to junk food lol.

            on July 31, 2020.

A foodie is person who likes to cook & try new things, it’s a hobby or passion about food. Also gourmet.

I’m a simple meat & potatoes (fried, mashed or sautéed)  kind of guy. She loves to cook and try different spices and dishes. She’s good. Her kind of salad bar is what you get at Texas de Brazil and Foca de Chao with all sorts of things I can’t pronounce or recognize. DW calls my kind of salad bar “iceberg with a sneeze guard”.

Yes, we are the perfect example sometimes of opposites attract.

The ocean and spending time with my husband.

Dh would say the ocean about me for sure.  No idea what he’d pick for the second thing.

Ocean would definitely be on the top of DW’s list!

We love road trips. It’s a time to relax with no pressure; to be together as one. Talking about whatever/whenever, admiring God’s creation, seeing and learning new things, listening to audio books, etc. It binds us together!!!

For me she would say coffee/fishing/golf with my friends.

For her I would say knitting while watching a BBC mystery series with me.

Oh, and of course, sex in any manner of ways!!

I think DH would probably say reading and writing.

That’s true, although both of those include talking with DH about them and being in the company of DH while doing them. I’d stop doing either one for sex, though. Actually, I ‘d stop doing either one to do anything with DH.  (Although I confess, I might want to wait to the end of the chapter.)

For him I think it would be reading and analyzing a set of interests (including comic books, visual media, and current affairs/politic) and sharing his opinions on social media. I keep encouraging him to start a blog but he doesn’t believe anyone would want to read it (regardless of the dozens of people who tell him how much they look forward to hearing his comments specifically when he calls in to a radio show or posts to Facebook. Eye roll.)
