Questions about post coital tristesse (PCT)

Questions about postcoital tristesse PCT “post sex blues” in males, females have it also.  The particular subject seems to be seldom if ever mentioned but seen it directly addressed a few times and or hinted at for years. (1) Does anyone know the percentage of males with troublesome PCT and or have most never heard of it period? Frankly at one time assumed all males experience it at some level minor or otherwise since I experienced it. (2) Just wonder if it plays a part in husband reluctance to initiate at times if anyone has insight on this?

Never had it, but I’ve read about it. There is virtually no research as far as I can find.

One study is getting pointed to a lot, probably because it’s one of the few out there. That study says 46% of women have experienced this at least once. However, the study was done online, and it was only college women. Hardly something we can expand to women in general.

I see a lot of theories about why it happens, from hormones to fear of letting go. But there is nothing to back up any of it.

I had never heard of it. Do you know a good place to learn more about it? Wikipedia?

SC   No I do not does not seem to be covered in mainstream rather in more research endeavors.

If this is true, “According to the same study, PCT among males is associated with current psychological distress, sexual abuse during childhood, and with several sexual dysfunctions.” (Wikipedia)…. it makes more sense on why it happens.
