Romantic Retreats or Places
For my wife’s birthday this year, I found an out of the way place that turned out to be one of the most romantic retreats we have ever had! It was absolutely amazing and I would recommend it to anyone. It’s the Trickling Waters Retreat Center in northern Iowa, very close to the Mississippi River in some awesome country! We stayed in the Pine Lodge, and it was wonderful–very very clean and inviting. Comfy king size bed, waterfall/pond o the grounds, a great hot tub available, and even a fire pit for cookouts! I would give it 7 stars out of 5!

I know we had a list like this going on the old boards, but I don’t think it’s yet started here. So, what are the best “romantic retreat” places you have experienced?
We visit Seattle at least once a year. Our go to romantic retreat is Cedarbrook Lodge. It’s a tranquil oasis surrounded by wetlands, right off a neighborhood street. It’s 5 minutes from the airport, near the freeway to go into the city easily, but my preference is to just camp out in the room and enjoy the comfy bed (and all that implies). Each wing of the hotel has a “living room” stocked with water, mini ice creams, chips, malt balls, etc., always free and available. Great place to enjoy just the two of us!
