Sensitive nipples on women

Do any other women have sensitive nipples, where they don’t want their husband to touch them or suck them? My wife hasn’t let me in about 9 years since our youngest was born. She says they are too sensitive and it hurts l was always careful and touched them tenderly. She used to love it and would get really turned on, but it’s all changed. She is 46.

Any suggestions or solutions?? I miss them greatly.

Have you happened to notice if there’s any differences, in her different arousal states?

I can tell you if I am not aroused, or not fully aroused, there are multiple different touches (i.e. kisses on the neck, direct genital touches, the nipples, etc) that are an irritant and I can feel extra sensitive that it becomes painful. But once I am fully or highly aroused, those same acts/touches feel different and become erotic rather than an irritant.

If you haven’t tried it, experiment with only stimulating them after she is fully aroused.

This is me exactly.  Its very rare that dh can go straight to what the calls the “fun places” as touch is painful, irritating or too senstive if I’m not warmed up.  But if I’m really aroused those same places with the same type of touch often end up sending me over the edge.  With the caveat that right before and during my period my breasts can be extra tender and not want any attention regardles of how aroused I am.

No suggestions as you really cannot do anything about it, it can be a VERY intense reaction and even though i love it now, i used to hate it. Ask if you could massage around them and have some kind of breast play, making sure to avoid the nipples.

        Yeah, try that.

I have been professionally trained to massage boobs :-).  Hold three or four fingers on her breast, above the nipple.  Massage in a small circilar motion, not rubbing the skin, but letting your fingers massage the tissue under the skin.  Work your way around the breast.  Avoid the nipple.  Also do the  muscles around the breast, on her chest and sides and between her breasts.

Avoid the nipples!  The idea is that it is supposed to be non-sexual.  But maybe it will eventually lead to something more.

That would be our situation.  Cannot and do not touch them.   I’ve learned to touch other things, etc.

When I had periods, mine would often get extremely tender shortly before my period started, presumably because of hormone fluctuations. Is it possible your wife has a hormone imbalance that is keeping them at this sensitive level?

My wife is the same way, when she still had periods, there were times she could barely stand her nipples to be kissed. She is pretty sensitive there all the time.

Yep, l remember those days when they would get sensitive, only lasted a couple days, no big deal, but it like 9 years. I am going to ask her if her Doc ever checked her hormone level, that could be part of it! Thanks Duchess

Until DW is aroused she does not like her nipples touched. Also, if the air temperature is cold she does not generally like her nipples exposed to the air, especially if they have been nibbled on and are covered with saliva.

My case is somewhat like Tracker. Before kids, DW enjoyed lots of nipple & breast attention and I very much enjoyed giving it. With kids & nursing, the enjoyment went away and they became overly sensitive/easily irritated/sore & mostly off limits even long after nursing had ended.  At least the rest of her breasts weren’t off limits. When our youngest was about 15, DW had an overall awakening (somewhat associated with getting off pill). Now she once again enjoys much nipple attention (woo hoo!). So at least in our case, it was a long-term moratorium that finally ended.

Ok, lt definitely sounds like its normal then, l hope her and her body will one enjoy it again. Years ago that’s how she wanted me to start foreplay ,way before l touch her vagina area. Sounds like things can really change after childbirth. We have 4 children, the first 3 things went back to normal pretty much after a year of nursing, but since the last ones birth, 9 years ago they have been off limits.
