So, DD shared something with us this evening…

Almost put this under “Jokes”, but it’s really not funny…

DH and I were discussing No-shave-November and whether he would participate this year (he will) when DD piped up that the teenage boys at her school do this thing called “No Nut November”, wherein “Nutting” equals ejaculating. So, essentially, the boys (presumably only the ones too young to shave) are promising not to ejaculate for the month of November.

    Just when I think I’ve heard everything…

    Anyone else heard of this?

Um… what? Whatever floats their boat. Or not, in this case. 😂

I remember reading about this last year. Some people take it quite seriously and use it as a goal/way to stay away from porn. Apparently, the porn industry is unhappy with it because they can actually see a dip in their revenue from it.

It was a big reminder for me on how broken the world is when I came across a feminist article ranting against it. The premise was that NNN was anti-women because it reduced the amount of casual sex that women were having by taking some men off the table for a month. Really?…something that reduces the number of men masturbating to porn is anti-women?

It is kinda funny to read y’alls thoughts on this. No nut November is mostly a meme on the internet. Like most memes, the societal impact is negligible. I think it is also ironic and hilarious that I am explaining this because trying to explain memes is also a meme.

Huh. Memes circulate on social media, so that would be why I hadn’t seen it, although DH is on the big three and he hadn’t seen it either. DD LOVES memes, but she distinctly said it came from boys at school.

I asked my DH about this, and he said before marriage, he tried to abstain from masturbating (and therefore ejaculation) for as long as possible, and his body would find release when he was asleep.

I hope these boys and young men are aware of what could happen 😛

Yeppers – wet dreams and nocturnal emissions make for more laundry for us Moms.  We can’t say anything- but when doing their laundry – it is rather obvious what’s happening …. the joys of being a Mom lol

How embarrassing!  They must know they are leaving… um, evidence…lol  Do they ever act differently after it happens?

Oh my no, but our sons are in college (and like their father) believe in being smooth down there and well shaved

Hmmmm. We were only thinking about his face; other areas are new to us, so we might make an exception for those.

We certainly hope so, from our conversations teen boys new normal is to be smooth down there.  Their dear ol dad was way ahead of the curve and had to shave initially for his vasectomy 17 yrs ago. Ever since then, he has shaved down there, and is smooth. When the trend came in for college, then HS boys to remain smooth started, it was no biggie for us.  The only hit is the cost of having to buy a lot more razors

I won’t be participating in either of those events!

But you’re right…that’s not funny…who thinks up these things?

A normal, healthy teenage male not ejaculating for a month ?

That never happened to me ( never even thought of attempting it ) and all I can say is ‘ good luck with that !!!!! ‘

Yep. “No-nut November” is definitely a thing. And I know people who’ve seriously participated in it.

Fight the new drug generally has a #NoPornNovember campaign, that probably goes well with this.

Mustache March’s purpose is to bring awareness to prostate/testicular cancers. Maybe No Nut November could be usurped to serve the same purpose.

Personally, NNN wouldn’t be something I would participate in willingly.

Mustache March? Never heard of that either. I assume it means you grow one then? If so, I guess DH is bringing awareness all year long. 😀 😀 😀
