Softer toy suggestions

My wife needs a pretty strong external vibe to get to an O, but what we have is hard plastic and has been leaving her injured at times. She’s finally open to trying something different, so I’m looking for suggestions on something powerful but with softer materials (if such a thing exists). Of course, there’s the dilemma of not wanting to spend good money on something that may not meet her needs, but I know quality in this area often come with higher price tags. Suggestions?

      The We-Vibe Touch. You’re welcome. 😀

More seriously, we have had great success with that, and to my knowledge almost never use the strongest setting. It uses the same motor as the We-Vibe Tango, which I’ve seen rated as three stars of power on a scale of 1-3. The Touch is nice because it’s coated in medical-grade silicone and has a somewhat flexible tip.

Beyond that, any vibe that is coated in silicone and rated to be high power might do the trick for you. We don’t have much experience with toys, but I’ve also heard/read that any of the non-vibrating stimulators might be good. Think the Lelo SONA, the Satisfyer Pro 2, or a Womanizer. I know several members here have reported using those. Apparently, some women find them extremely pleasurable.

The Touch is our go-to as well.  Love the size, shape and texture and the vibrations are perfect for me.  Word of advice though, make sure that you don’t charge it constantly.  Use it, recharge it (usually just an hour or two), and then disconnect it ’til next time.  That really makes the battery last longer.

We also have JimmyJane Ascend 1.  Great back up vibrator.  I little smaller than the Touch but the vibrations are similar.

My fave has been the Shibari Mini Halo, which is available on Amazon for less than $30. It is soft, and gentle on the lady business, but also has some serious power potential.

I cannot stand the hard plastic, either. I recommend an egg vibe with cyberskin covering.

Just a request, but would you please post an update once you decide a path to take and try it out? I see so many threads asking for help that never get a follow up. I’m sure it would be helpful to others with similar questions (plus toys are relatively new for us so I’m curious to hear personal accounts from real married users).

Not something we would choose on our own, but you can get a steal of a deal on the Ola right now. From what I’ve read, it’s probably not as strong as some other options, but it is soft and this review has a coupon code to take $100 off the normally $149 vibe:

We have only tried to 2 toys in our 22 years… The Je Joue Mimi egg is one of them. It’s a clitoral vibrator. it’s soft, has something like 7 or 8 settings for speed and intensity, and it waterproof. My DW can O every time. Time it takes depends on the level we set it to. I don’t recall exactly, but I don’t think it was cheap. I’m more of a server than a “when am I getting mine”…so I use this often. The last setting is so strong, it goes through her jeans!  The second thing we use is a penis ring vibrator. I don’t have a specific type cause we’ve used alot of different one’s..but the same concept. We find one that has a nub on the end that sits on her clitoris. it’s great for that deep penetration when you can grind against her and let the ring help out.

“Went with a Gigi 2 from Lelo.”

Thanks for giving us the update. I always like hearing from people after they’ve been given suggestions/advice and made a decision.

I hadn’t heard of the Gigi 2 so looked it up–surprised to see it is marketed as a G-spot vibrator. But it still gets the job done on the outside apparently? I don’t know what you used before, but this model looks like it could be used during PIV, so if you aren’t currently doing that, maybe you should try. 😀

                  Enjoy!

I see the ‘Min Halo’ is basically a small wand. We have a wand and have some attachments for it that are ‘soft’. Also, taking a wand an putting a sock over the end will make it softer.

We have the Yarosi mini wand but unless I use it while still dressed, it’s just too intense.  That’s when I turn to the We-Vibe Touch.

@Olorin I feel like a sock would be a step in the wrong direction. Seems like that would be pretty irritating to her sensitive tissues…

That actually my work for some women.  I like it when we start out with the vibrator while I still have my panties on.  When things get a little hotter, slipping it inside is awesome.

Certainly! Not sure how soon we’ll pick something to try, but when we do I’ll report back.

Thanks to all who are making suggestions, happy to get more still!
