What accentuates her outward beauty?

Answered

Yesterday’s topic about non-piercing nipple rings from @Beccaloo, got me to thinking about this question:  Let’s say you and your DW are going to a formal wedding or an evening soiree, husbands, what is the most favorite VISIBLE accessory (panties don’t count!) you would love to see on your wives i.e. bracelets, earrings, necklace, chokers, hair accessories, rings, manicured nails, etc.?  Wives, what is your “go to” in the same situation which accentuates your outward beauty more than any other thing?

OK, it’s time to come clean on it: I love the sight of pain, black pantyhose.

Whoever invented it was a genius.

Assuming you mean plain, not pain!!!

He had it right the first time–panty hose are a *pain*!! 😀

I did not mark this as BEST ANSWER but I am OK with leaving it as is.  It is a pretty good answer.  I just don’t want to discourage others from answering just because there is a BEST ANSWER marked.

Apologies, of course I meant “plain”…

Well, your answer was a hit.  I meant no harm by writing what I wrote.  I really do like your answer, it’s quite funny.  Again, I just didn’t want others to stop answering  seeing a BEST ANSWER on the question.

A black lace choker is super hot. That happens when the 80s/90s are your formative years. 🙂

I’d say long red fingernails. She still does her nails, but changes the color. If she asks me what I want, it’s always some version of deep or bright red.

Also black hose. I’m not a hose person generally, but when ladies dress up and wear black hose, it looks good.

Ankle bracelet. Don’t know why I love them, but I do.

It’s not really the accessories for me…but there is one thing that i LOVE about my DW’s appearance more than any “thing” she could wear.

She uses ZERO makeup. She went through a phase of it in Middle school, but didn’t’ all through HS or into our marriage. She has the softest skin and a natural beauty that outshines any makeup.

I TOTALLY forgot to mention make up.  That’s a good one!  Lack of it, I mean.  Makeup done right can be a nice touch, IMO.

I agree…the correct application of make up on some woman can be great.

My DH would make sure I was wearing the white gold watch he gave me over 20 years ago. It is the most beautiful watch I have ever seen and I have always loved it. It’s probably my most prized possession. It doesn’t accent anything, except my wrist. But to us, it means love!

I asked my husband, so I was off, his main/first thing was “lipstick” 😆 He does often say, “I love your lips, both sets.” 😊 He also mentioned my nails.

I will DW the same thing…or other stuff like, “I want to kiss your lips, both sets” or “Can I kiss your lips?”, then she’ll pucker up and I’ll add, “I can kiss those too but with the kids home, you’re probably going to want to leave the kitchen for the bedroom with what I want to do”. 😆

Maybe not as accessory, but from the first time I saw her, my wife’s hair has been a favorite attribute that I often got lost in. At that time, it reached the her waist. When she would allow it to curl a little on it’s own or make effort to enhance that – even more attractive. She kept it long until about 20 years ago when for some reason I can’t remember, she lopped it off and donated it to Locks of Love. She had another purpose, the donation was just a convenient opportunity to give. I’ve seen photos of her from high school when she wore something similar to a “bob” – very short. Honestly, had she had that style when we first met, I would have likely not given her much attention. After the first chopping, she kept it almost that short for a few years while the kids were very young. Then she let it grow out to about shoulder length and that’s where it’s been ever since, though it is tending to get shorter with every trim. I’ll never get to enjoy those long flowing locks again. She still has a nice head of hair, and she keeps it as long as it is mainly for my sake. She’d whack it off again if it were not for my preference – though she is consistently heading that direction anyway. If I were to quit reminding her how much I like it longer, it’d be gone the next week.

@LBD–I sure hope my DH doesn’t feel this way. I too had long thick hair in high school, but have lost most of it to PCOS. I used to console myself, Anne Shirley fashion, that my hair was my one beauty. Oh if I only had to wait for the green to grow out again!

I really like earrings, but my DW let her ears “fill in” after getting them pierced early on in our marriage. I think the whole idea fell by the wayside upon raising four children.  Since I spend so much of my evenings massaging DW hands and feet, I am going to go with manicured nails.  I think they really bring out the feminine side of a female.  Unfortunately, DW does not do her fingernails, just her toenails and of course, that is only done in warmer weather. DW works with paint and wood a lot so I understand the lack of manicured fingernails, but I still would like to see it done on my woman once in awhile.

Why don’t you offer to paint her nails? 🙂

                    on January 7, 2021.

She would NEVER trust me with that LOL.  In fact, she is such a perfectionist, I’ve seen her start completely over upon a mistake that she sees that she makes!

                    I paint my wife’s nails…fingers and toes

                    on January 7, 2021.

@ALL_IN, that’s awesome.  Well, I guess it does no harm to ask.  I think I know her answer but all she can do is say NO, right?

                    on January 7, 2021.

If you do her toes, they are further from her eyes & mistakes might be less noticeable. Then you could progress to her fingernails so they match. 🙂

I like it @Beccaloo you’re at least persistent! Question:  Would you let your DH do this on you?  I imagine you would but I was just curious.

                    on January 7, 2021.

I would love for him to even rub a bit of lotion on me.
True story: I was about 8 months pregnant & needed a rest. I let 2 young kids paint my toe nails. I just had to lay still & relax, knowing they were staying out of trouble.

I had the most amazing rainbow toes & nails ever! I learned that most of the paints are pretty self-leveling & within 2 days the natural oils from my skin had removed the wandering paint. They were so proud that they made me look pretty & it made me smile each time I took my shoes off.

What an uplifting story!  Thanks for sharing.

P.S. Are the paints really that forgiving?  I really don’t know.  DW has a hissy fit if she makes a mistake.  Do I really want to go there?

                    on January 7, 2021.

I think you could do a great job, especially on the nails she would have to paint with her non-dominant hand. Just make sure the nails don’t have lotion on them. You can wipe them off with rubbing alcohol or polish remover before painting. Paint all 10 nails (side/side/center) & then go back for a 2nd coat. Don’t go for super thin. If it’s a dark color, always start with a basecoat (can be clear) so it doesn’t stain the nails. Take a q-tip dipped in polish remover to wipe any polish off the skin.

Thank you so much for the detailed lesson!

                    on January 7, 2021.

@GG. I’m hoping you get the chance to paint her nails or at least find a little friend to practice on if you have visitors.
FYI- they make polish for pets too.

                    on January 7, 2021.

No pets. Used to have cats. Has anyone ever told you that you are such an encourager?  Thank you for the encouragement.  I am going to offer this service to DW next time she paints her toenails.

                    on January 7, 2021.

Thanks! 🙂 1 additional tip with polish. Dip the brush in, wipe one side off, then start brushing with the bead that’s left on the brush. I really hope you’ll remember to share a report when you finally get to try.  I think if anything she should be impressed that you have an idea of how to do it correctly. 🙂

Getting dressed up?  Whatever. She already dresses attractively. Make up? Doesn’t need it…but she still puts some of it on.

What gets me?  Her eyes!!!  Kind, gently, mischievous, dancing…and on occasion they can pierce me clean through with her tears and yes, at times, anger.  My wife’s eyes are what got me hooked, especially since I tried to maintain eye contact and not look below her neck on all our dates, let alone out first one.

Now after marriage, I’m looking all the time below her neckline. If DW wants to get out of the house in a hurry, 😆 she’ll try to change/dress without me being able to see her ’cause she knows what a distraction her breasts will be to me and I’ll come running!!!  She’ll also use her naked breasts as bait to see if I’m a still a little angry because if we’ve been sideways, I can’t look at them 😆  OR she’ll dress with her back to me if she’s mad or we’re sideways so I can’t see them. 😆   Oh, the joy of being such a simple man! 😀

                      EDIT:

In rereading the question, what would accentuate her beauty?  Eyes? Some make up…but not a lot.  Breasts? DW has a white blouse that has a “V-neck” and is “whispy”.  It gets me every time!

I forgot to mention, necklace! I don’t think much about them, but my wife noticed that a couple times when she wore the same shirt, I said she looked really good only on the days she had on a necklace!
