What is the perfect Valentines dinner?
Best one I remember that DW surprised me with, was not so much the dinner, but all the stuff that went with it.
A ride on the rail in an old restored steam loco with restored Pullman’s. Dinner, and a night at a restored 19th century hotel when we got back.
Not sure what I ate for dinner…..do remember what I ate afterwards!
Our daughter’s BF will likely be here tomorrow evening, so we will have to be discreet, but will probably do the same meal anyway. We like to get finger foods: cubed meats and cheeses, pickles, bread, grapes, strawberries if I can find good ones, and depending on what I can find, a yummy dessert. We curl up together on the couch and watch a movie together (we’ll probably let them eat in the other TV room under the usual rules–lights on, door open) and if I’m lucky, his parents will pick him up early and we will go to bed right away.
Then, sometime soon when the rush dies down he can take me to Olive Garden or Red Lobster. 😀
Whatever I am craving at the time 🙂
Going out for me, for our celebration (not the 14th), but home on the actual day. I don’t want to cook for our Vday celebration, plus too many kids at home.
Since we are going out tonight, “surf” is what is sounding good. 🙂
This year we are not eating out on Vday itself, we actually went to “Red Robin” since my wife had a coupon. However, in 10 days it will be my wife’s BDAY, and I plan on taking her to our favorite sea-food restaurant which is in a historic train depot. Very cool building, and the train still runs by the restaurant! Really, really, good seafood!! I will likely get mahi topped with crab meat. My wife will get the snapper if they have it, and if not that, something with salmon.
