Something new

This morning, my husband read the scripture during the service and I was so emotionally moved to hear him reading such powerful words, in the wonderfully dramatic reading voice God gave him, that I both teared up, AND actually became a little bit aroused. I have heard, enjoyed, and been moved by his...

Re: 03/03/2021 - What is your normal sleeping attire?

We seem to be the backwards ones again. I sleep nekkid; DH wears shorts. Even with teen DD home and up at all hours, I just watch and make my trips to the bathroom when she is not in the hall. She also (when showering) will go from her room to the bathroom nude so it is pretty common in our house to...

Re: Wedding disasters

Not a disaster, just interesting: We once attended an evening wedding where the weather was becoming a bit fussy. Just as the Pastor and Groom emerged and took their places, a HUGE thunder BOOM shook the church. We all kind of took it as a signal that the Lord had "arrived" for the ceremony.

Re: 03/10/2021 - Do you and your spouse dance?

We had a lot of school dances and dancing at private parties when we were teenagers, but our slow dancing amounted mostly to "hug and spin". I have tried over the years to get him to learn something a little more elegant for the rare but memorable occasions that we get a chance to enjoy so...

Re: That Was a First

We broke our first bed. As it happens, DH just sat down to put on his socks and the leg broke off. I like to think we had weakened it with newlywed activities and the socks were just the final straw. :D

Re: 03/16/21 - Age to marry?

On the "ideal age" you find who God leads you to in His timing. This is very well said, and what I was thinking as I read through the answers and though about what I would say. I was 21 and DH was 23. We had been engaged for a year and dating for five (including the engaged year.) We were...

Re: 03/18/2021 - Superhero powers for a week?

Always be Wonder Woman! I would use her lasso of truth to help my DH with his difficulty communicating; the lasso would help him just spit out his truth without him having to figure it out for himself and help us SO MUCH in being fully connected. Then I would use her ability to talk to animals to se...

Re: 3/12/21 - wedding ceremony?

-I don't think it was much longer than 30 minutes. We had two songs, two pastors (but neither droned on), and nothing "extra" like a candle ceremony or anything. -I do this thing in times of stress--which would include being the center of attention on a very important day--where I am so an...
