Re: Sex or masturbation

Ummmm.... I have lived where my desire was a life of masturbation and no sex. And frankly, I don't find sex appealing enough to continue to do it long term with no orgasms...I need and want that "hit". For me, the lesser of two evils is choosing the masturbation option...I know couples who...

Re: What is your default mode?

First, I will state a lack of clarity on what "mode of sexual communication style" is confuses me, because I am not sure on exactly what you are talking about or looking for, and almost kept me from answering. I am answering under the assumption what our first reaction would be when asked ...

Re: LoversLane

Welcome! We're near the same stage in life. I have also lived the "three teenage boys" thing...at one point you could add two teenage girls on top of it. Five teenagers in the house wasn't nearly as bad for us as I had been led to believe it had to be.

Glad you are here!

Re: DW's Comments

Her silence could mean multiple things, it could be as @David said, or she could be embarrassed. You could probe for further, honest communication, in order to understand where she is coming from. Does she believe it's wrong? Is it just a private thing she does? Etc

Re: Do we carry a lack always with us?

Does Psalm 23 verse 1 speak to this? "The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing." I don't think so. I lacked "words" as a child. Lots of silence instead of being spoken into for building up and encouraging, it left me with many fears doubts, uncertainties and insecurities. I carry...

Re: Do we carry a lack always with us?

I don't think so. Scripture says in Ephesians 4 that we are to grow up and attain the fullness of Christ in us. I don't think the fullness of Christ in us will be lacking anything period. On the flip side, we will always need Christ and I guess one could say that we are lacking something which make...

04/20/21 - If you went to heaven....

If you went to heaven for a day, other than Jesus, who would be the first person you would look for?

Do we carry a lack always with us?

I heard this comment the other day, and it made me take pause and consider if there's any validity to it: "When you grow up without something, the lack of it is always with you, even when you finally have it." [/color][/i][/b] Have you seen this true in your, or your spouse's, life? Does i...
