The stuff stinks after a few weeks if you put it with water in a bottle.
The jury is out on this, but as a food item, I have read some suggestions that it might be good for gut bacteria, so apparently bacteria can grow in it.

Is that XanTHUM or XanTHAN? I've never heard of XanTHUM, but I use Xanthan gum for gluten-free cooking (it acts as a thickener, as you describe).

Never tried xanthan gum before. But we use it for gf cooking too, so I may have to experiment!

I have never heard of this as a lube. I will offer that over the past year when shopping at Walmart that the shelves are normally bare where condoms and personal lubricants are stocked.

I have seen the same thing, barely any lube at Walmart. Goes along with sex toys sales were good last year and people staying at home!
